Can A Realtor Also Go Into Selling Building Materials For The Real Estate Company He Manages?

There is no bad thing in that. So any business is welcome as far as you are doing it in a legal way, so as a Realtor it's not a bad idea to go into such as well.
Yeah, you are quite correct Jumoke. In fact, it's a way of making multiple streams of income which increases cash flow. It is like a gateman, also having a provision store just beside his duty post in which the business do not affect themselves. Thank you for your input.

Why not? It's a very good move by the realtor because by selling building materials, you don't really need to work on getting your materials to the target audience because you already have the audience

As a realtor,if you don't have a side hustle, then you don't understand the scope of your business, a realtor in the course of gaining experience should encounter limitless opportunities.

Selling building materials has a real estate agent is a good business, as agent who have been in the game for a very long time, you would know the right and quality materials that will be needed in building.

Yes, it is very much possible. It a very legitimate way of diversifying your income and having extra sources in case of an emergency. If the law isn't against it then it's fine.

I don't see anything bad for a real estate agent to go into selling building materials in the company, I think is a good idea to grab that opportunity.

To me a realtor is a licensed estate salesperson who belonged to the national association of tealtores. so engage in sales of building materials is also associated with the sales business so far he has the knowledge about it.

I don't think there is any legal restriction on realtor selling building material to his or her clients. You won't find realtor doing this because they are very busy

That will be an added advantage to the realtor. He or she sells building materials, can aso supplies it to the site in which he negotiated successfully and earn rewards for supplying to the site.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in this idea since it's an additional way of making more money. It's even an opportunity because most the materials needed to develop a property can be supplied directly from the person shop.

Selling building materials as a real estate manager is not a bad idea. Building materials are also essentials in the building of houses. He can only open another office and for the sales of the building materials for his prospective customers.

I see a possibility of a realtor selling construction materials for the real estate company he manages. He has to buy materials from some one, why not sell to his own company?

This all depends on the situation but it is not bad for a real estate relatator to social building materials for the real estate he or she is managing that will be an additional profit for him.

The industry of the construction or selling construction materials is an untapped one. If you can combine the both of them, you will surely make some profits more.

The selling of building materials is still related to real estate. It does not multiply your source of income, but it also makes your job easier. What ever building material is needed, you have in your shop.

A friend has been an agent for some years now in a few real estate companies. As a realtor, he has little or no time for other major activities as he is always busy. He discharges his duty appropriately but he wants to diversify his source of income. He is looking into selling building materials along side his realtor job. His major targeted client is the real estate where he works. Do you think this is appropriate for him to do? He wants to be a realtor and a supplier of building materials to the same company at the same time.

What do you he should do guys?
This will surely lead to conflict of interest and as business man, he will favour his own course even at the expense of the property he/she is managing.

This kind of arrangement can easily lead to fraud also, where thing can be stolen, price of items hiked and items can be paid for and not be supplied because the manage initiates and execute project.

A manager of a real estate company should have the explicit permission of the owner for the manager to supply building materials. There is the thing called conflict of interest that the building materials can be overpriced with the approval of the manager who is the supplier. If everything is on the level then there is no problem.

I know that a realtor always have an agreement often signed on the term of contract and some contract may restrict the realtor from getting other means so it's best to know if the realtor is restricted or not.
