In times past, I have seen people say that family business is not good. Come to think of this, wife is part of family. Can you do business with your wife?

No I can't do business with my spouse, I prefer not to mix family with business, even my relatives I don't like to do business with them because if issues arise ( which normally do) it affects the whole family.

I think that it all depends on the circumstances that are involved. If you two have skills that are able to compliment each other and you are able to separate your business from your personal life, then by all means, you can get involved in a business together. However, if you are unable to separate the two and feel that disagreements will come over into your personal life as well then I advise against it. It is a tricky area. Some can make it work whereas others may struggle.

Personally I can do business with my partner as long as we understand ourselves and we can come to an agreement, then I think we should be able to do business together. The only disadvantage of being in business with your spouse is when you guys have a misunderstanding, or you guys are getting a divorce, that's where you guys will be thinking of splitting the business and it could affect the business in a negative way.

business own and run by husband and wife can be difficult sometimes but it all lies on understanding between both parties. However it is not advisable in my own opinion for a wife and husband to run a particular business.
