Depends on the business. I personally would rather start a business alone, but I have considered starting a company with family or friends. But I would rather start my own company alone, as I don't want to have to pay other people out of the gate.

In the beginning, I would probably start out alone. Sometimes another person can become distracting.

Financial issues could be one of the main reasons. This is also one of the main reasons why a business may have more than 10 partners sometimes. However, in certain cases, a person may have enough capital in order to start the business. However, they fail to do so because they may not have skills and this is where they seek a working partner.
