What will happen to occupants of lands leased to estate developers by government at the expiration of the lease.

Then the occupants will have to hold the government agencies accountable. They cannot be vacated because of that.

I don't think the occupants would have any issues at all. So long as they did not have anything to do with the sale, they would have to hold the government responsible.

They vacate immediately but they'll definitely get notice from the government. That's why when purchasing any land or property, it's advisable to carry out due diligence in researching the background information of such properties

The government didn't have any agreement with the occupants of the land, they only had an agreement with the real estate company

I know a couple of residents living in estates whose land was leased to the developers by the government for a period of time, some of these developers even sell portions of the lands to unsuspecting buyer.
Since these lands we're leased and government can retrieve the land at the end of the lease. What becomes the fate of the occupants of the property??
The occupants can do nothing at such times, they would have to vacate the property. It is a very unfair thing to sell out a leased land to another person knowing fully well that the government will retrieve the land.

They would have to vacate the property once the government comes for it.
To avoid falling into wrong hands of property sellers, we should do more background investigations on our own before purchasing properties.

If the projects that are being undertaken for government proposes then it is important that people should know that all lands automatically belongs to the government and they can only be compensated.

Then the government should not have approved residential homes for leased lands since it is going to revert back to the government.

Under the land use act whenever this particular turn your ends there is an option for you to be able to go so that it will be renewed. This renewal normally does not come with any headache.

It depends on what kind of contracts you have with the developer. If yu have signed a contract that says you will have to vacant the property, you need to vacate it.

The government will probably kick them out when the lease expires. The government are very strict with things that belong to them, they hardly negotiate with debtors. So the occupants will be sent packing with immediate effect.

At the expiration of the lease or the contract with the government, the occupant will have to leave except if the government is willing to reach an agreement that will favour both parties.

Lands are leased to individuals for s long term period of maybe 99yearscand before that time the individuals might have been able to get the needed value from such lands. But I think there is provision where such individuals can renew their lease or the land bought so that individual that gain full ownership so that such property might not be lost.

Actually they are at high risk of their property because the government can never consider them as the legal owners of such land. The only thing they should do is to comply when ever necessary.

This is one of the most disturbing aspect of the land use act that we are currently using in the country. Anyways there is a provision made that this kind of contracts are usually been elongated and most items they are usually accepted by the state government at that time.

In every land purchase the buyer should be able to at least get to see some authentic document and the nature of the property from the real estate developer before he should be able to make a full payment for the property.

Since the government didnt have any agreement with the occupant of the land , its the developer and the tenants problem , and government dont just take action , they follow due process
