Rural urban migration: effects on real Estate

Urban migration have effect because they are less in agricultural form and crowded but mostly of people they choose to in urban because of comfort and easiest of accomodation in their town. For me rural is the best to live
 
It's no news that a lot of development going on in the urban area is as a result of the massive migration of rural indigenes going to urban areas. One of the major reasons why this migration come into place is lack of job opportunities in the rural area and because most of them are seeking for life opportunity, they tend to leave their abode to hustle in the city.

Real estate Business has experienced a tremendous growth over the years that is partly fuelled by rural urban migration. Such movement from rural areas to urban areas paved the way for more development for the urban areas because the new people that are coming in needs accomodations and it's the job of the real estate sector to deliver accommodation for them.
This has led to most rural area dwellers selling their property like land to developers that tends to transform most of these rural areas into urban areas with rapid development.
Nowadays, it's not uncommon to see more than 5 people staying in a room together thereby congesting the room and at large the city.
Rural-urban migration has it's pros and it's cons, we just have to try and reduce it to the barest minimum.
What's your thoughts on this guys?
I would be say that the rural to urban migration is of more positive impact to real estate business owners than those who are living in the rural areas. This makes real estate business owners to have many projects to work on in the urban area because of too many people looking for houses.

Yeah I'll say it's the leading factor in growth in the urban population, it in effect also reducing rural development to some extent, since every one wants to go to the city. I think the solution to this rural-urban migration would really help Lagos State as the population in Lagos is becoming unbearable.

If one has something that is paying him or her very well in the rural area, I don't see anything wrong with living there. Life is more sweet and fun in rural areas, no too much stress, no traffic, no chaos like it used to be in the city. I have a plan to retire to the rural areas once I'm 50 years old.

It's 20 years ago that rural areas suffer so much from urban assimilation of the rural youths who migrate in search of better life opportunities. But now, development have reached most rural areas and they have almost everything the city enjoys.
 
A lot of people or families who was residing in rural area moves to urban area in belief that there are more job opportunities in there. Some find success in it but the cost of living is much higher than in countryside.

You are right and I agree with you on this, rural-urban. This has resulted to the congestion we face in the urban areas. And as a result of this congestion there is an increase in housing price and other things. But at the same time this kind of migration is as a result of low development in the rural area and also lack of social amenities.

I believe rural - urban migration will have a positive effect on real estate because there will be overpopulation which will lead to a corresponding increase in the demand for housing an also the value of the housing will automatically increase.
