If I bought or have a property like house and land, should I put it in charge of a caretaker.
The work of a caretaker is to take care of the house in the absence of the real owner, but we all know how bad and dubious people can be, they can mess up your property in your absence and ruin you real bad.
And we know they can also help you maintaining your property very well.
So I'm in a state of dilemma on what to do.
Should I give my property to agent or caretaker or I should be looking over it myself ?.

@Blue house giving the said apartment to a property manager is a wise decision if the time needed to manage and oversee the affairs of the property is not available. Property managers are professionals who help maintain and oversee the affairs of an apartment under the instruction of the principal
(the owner).

Yes, its very advisable you hand over your property to a property agent or an estate caretaker because they have the good skills of running your real estate business effectively with little cost and looking for buyers and making a good profit in return.

No it isn't , though have seen cases of a house owner leaving the country and decides to give the power of authority over his property to an agent or caretaker and expects to get payment every now and then. We'll I feel that isn't t the best thing to do, if for any reason you leaving the country why not hand it over to a family member or better still sell it off to avoid been duped.

Yes! It is very advisable, and you will find it is the best decision you have made.

Properties management is very critical for every property owner, it will determine how long that property will stay in business.

Giving it to a manager or management company is the best way to keep the property on the money making path.

Private landlords pay letting agents to help ensure that their legal responsibilities to tenants are met. ... Good letting agents can help make the lives of private landlords easier by freeing up their time by carrying out tasks such as rent collection and property inspection to make sure everything is in order.

Neither a bad decision nor a confusing decision to hand over the house to your friend or anyone, for my point of views. It is not car that he can damage it and price will be become less.
But you should go to your home after every month and so. Observe your home closely .

It's a good idea to place your property under the care of someone that would mostly be chanced than yourself and that's where getting an agent or caretaker comes in. It's not ideal to leave a property unattended to. Property management is very necessary as it would determine the long lasting availability as regards business

No it is not a bad at all to hand over our house to someone. Because many people do this and give their homes to their relatives or friends for some time so it is not an issue. But of you trust them then you can hand over if you haven't trust then don't give .

It is an ideal practice that you give your estate management to a caretaker or an estate agent. You dont want to be the one going here and there seeking clients for your real estate do you? Leave the job for those whose job it is do

Yes, it's advisable to hand over property to caretaker, they sets up a procedures for collecting rent from occupant. To ensure optimal flow of cash, they set a collection date to make sure that property monthly expenses are being paid, and strictly enforce late fee policies.

It is a risky process to hand over your property to any agent. Many times the agents take over and then you have to go to the police station to get rid of them and in the same way you get mentally disturbed.

In particular, if you have lots of land or rental units, you can consider hiring a property management company. The more rental properties you own and the more units they contain, the more likely you are to benefit from the management company. It also helps if you're not living near your rental property.

Its depends on what you want I think a caretaker and agent are similar in some ways, the little thing that differentiate them is that an agent is a recognised and certified agent where as a caretaker is not certified, moroever I cannot give my house to a agent but the only thing that will make me give my house to a agent is that if I don't have anybody.

There are registered agents or estate managers that can manage your property. There are also law firms that can help manage your property which I think is better, because in the event of any default, they know the next line of action to take.

If you have the opportunity to take care of it yourself, it is a better option. Now if you must leave your property to a caregiver, you can limit access to certain places to avoid damage to the home. As time passes and the caregiver shows to be responsible, you can give access to other spaces.

Property managers are hired to handle the operations, maintenance, and administration of property rentals for an owner. Their work, among many other tasks, includes marketing rentals and finding renters, ensuring rental rates are competitive while covering taxes and overhead, collecting rent, and complying with rental laws.

A letting agent is responsible for managing properties for private landlords. The agent's are responsibilities can include finding tenants, collecting rent, and fully managing the tenancy.

Agents can help you weed out unwanted properties by getting detail on what you’re looking for in a home. They can email you a list of properties based on your specifications. This will help you save time and energy.

And they are more related to the customers, they know what the customers really wants.

If the property is located in an advanced country, one can employ the service of a good agent or caretaker. But for me, an agent is far better than a caretaker because, every agent will work hard to get their agreed payment from them employers.
