I think this would be a very good move by Indian government. Just by giving a name currency behind crypto like cryptocurrency does not make it a real currency. For cryptocurrencies to be used as standard currency, they must fulfill certain rules and regulations, which are followed by standard currencies. In the current form cryptocurrency does not even fulfill the basic requirement of a standard currency, that is availability at a affordable and stable price to everyone. It's more like a gold or a precious diamond or high demand stock. This needs to be changed and regulated.

Cryptocurrency doesn't fullfil or comply with any country financial regulations but the fact that it has come to existence with strong trend government of different countries will come up with template for cryptocurrencies.

I never thought India will be among the countries that will put embargo of bitcoin and other coin. India is a country that is blessed with information technology experts. And Blockchain is related to information technology. I believe the regulations is for small time. They will accept it soon
You are right they are blessed with information technology but that is not the problem the government are afraid of crypto currency that's all.

India government can also take the bull by horn just like El-Salvador has done. India has the facilities to explore all opportunities in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

What is in it for them. to be afraid. well maybe because they are thinking that it might affect the currency. And that is not true. After all I there is a country that uses crypto currency to import and export there goods. Venezuela

I don't think such decision of banning Cryptocurrency have taking place around Defi coins and other hidden digital coins in India. It gonna be disheartening if the head's come into concrete consensus to ban this coins in the country.
This will also depend on the response of the people ,don't you think is a responsible for people to protest on the banning of cryptocurrency if they are really interested to have cryptocurrency in the country ?

Hmm, it's not possible here in the country to come on top dear, cos politicians will shoot us like cows, it's better to create awareness here online to express dissatisfaction.

Even if you are doing it online if they are interested to fish us out it is still possible because I've been hearing of some stories of a lot of people being arrested because of what they posted on social media.

Here in Nigeria, you can voice out your frustrations in a peaceful manner and not violently no one would arrest you for that bro, you'll be safe protecting your interest and others.

It is even dangerous even if you're doing it in a peaceful manner you will still be arrested because the Nigerian police has been arresting a lot of protesters in Lagos and some South-East protesters.

You aren't protesting, you're simply doing something right on the internet to get peoples attention concerning the shortcomings of our government concerning crypto.

I don't think India will again ban Bitcoin or any other crypto currencies. Indians have heavily invested in crypto currencies not only on other currencies but also their own Polygon Mattic and WazirX exchange platform

Well. But no matter what we are doing the Nigerian government and not ready to lift the ban on cryptocurrency now even when they are also trying to create their own cryptocurrency. I wonder what they are really trying to do.

Even if the Indian government will still go ahead to ban the use of cryptocurrencies in their country, that shouldn't stop Indians transacting in cryptocurrency with the rest of the world online

With what I've seen lately I don't think that our Nigerian government is ready to do that. It's nowhere near in their to-do list removing the ban let alone creating their own CBDC.

It is now becoming very tiring at the moment because every six months to one year there is news about India wanting to buy bitcoin thereby leading to uncertainties in the market.

Lolz, I think the digital money they are creating is not a cryptocurrency because if it was a cryptocurrency they could have left the ban on withdrawing cryptocurrency to bank, does it mean that we will not be able to withdraw our digital money to banks ?

You can withdraw the digital currency back to the bank as a fiat currency. Everything it's made easy, but the CBDC they are talking about it's simply like a stable coin.
