Insider Trading is the exchange of a company's non public information for money, it allows the insider to influence the value of the company's stocks and it gives the insider an unfair advantage in the market which is wrong.
Do you think that insider Trading should be punished
Or not?

I agree that companies exchanging inside information should be penalized, as it certainly influences the decision-making of interested parties. In these cases there will always be someone who takes the initiative in any field because he has information that other people do not have. It is a difficult situation to attack.

Insider trading is a fraud and crime against a company or business that deserves to be highly punished with sack and some jail time. Selling company private file should attract great punishment because every company has the right to keep it's own privacy and for the fact that it's an employee of the company that sells these information makes it the more worrisome.

Insider trading is a big corporate crime and its punishable by law. There's a reason why insiders are not allowed to partake in trading on companies stocks, this is to give everyone a fair playing ground as regards to stock trading. So anyone that violates this rules and try to game the system by exchanging privileged and confidential information for money or gratification will be severely punished by law.

Is insider trading still a big deal with the multi nationals. I only use to see it in movies and does it have anything to do with the top guys influencing some things because they are able to have information others don't.

Obviously, the reason insider trading is illegal is because it gives the insider an unfair advantage in the market, puts the interests of the insider above those to whom he or she owes a fiduciary duty, and allows an insider to artificially influence the value of a company's stocks.Insider trading in the US is a crime that is punishable by monetary penalties and incarceration, with a maximum prison sentence for an insider trading violation of 20 years and a maximum criminal fine for individuals of $5 million.

If this is allowed, but the excitement that comes with having stocks is dead. Inside trader should be punished heavily as that's not how business of stock trading should be handled.

Allowing the market control what goes on in the market is far more better than any other manipulation companies do.

If you had concluded that it is wrong then obviously their should be reward in the form of punishment for it because it is criminal activities. It is stealing and misuse of trust for doing illegal business.

In Stock trading, Insider trading should be punished because it gives room for the insider to manipulate the stock from the outside and also ensure that some people lose money while others gain alot. As an insider of a company the best thing to do is to be neutral without giving out any information

Insider trading is illegal and it is punishable under the law. Most of the big players in the stock market especially on wall Street do insider trading, around the world a lot of people do insider trading, if found guilty it is a punishable offence.

If I remember correctly there was such a case that an executive of a company was accused of that illegal act in influencing the price of the stocks. That is illegal here. But the issue died down and there was no one punished. Maybe it was to protect the reputation of the stock market. When a company's finances is going down expect the stock price to go down as well. If there is inside information about it then a speculator will be selling his shares.

It is highly illegal but also a very common practice. I also think that it should attract punishment so as to act as a deterrent to others. Any strategy that gives unfair advantage is criminal in nature IMO.

Insider trading based on your explanation seems very illegal and unfair and l think the person involved should be punished drastically because he or she is not fair to himself or herself. Even though such business business deals might involved a lot of money, punishment too will have to be heavy.
