Have you ever bought a house to flip, that had to be demolished?

Buying a house to flip is something many people do. But what if that house turned out to be unflippable? As in it was in such bad shape, that you had to demolish the whole building and start from scratch? I know some people who had to tear down a full house because of severe water damage and other damages sustained to the building. Sometimes it's best to re-build than to build upon.

Anyway, has this ever happened to you? At least in these cases you still have the land its own, so that's a plus in my book.

I have never flipped a house, I have never bought a property. However, if I was in a situation where I had to demolish a house that I bought with a hope of flipping it for cash, I would be at a huge loss.

No, I haven't ventured into buying a house to flip, especially not one that needed demolishing. That sounds like a whole different level of challenge. I'm more into the idea of fixing up a place rather than starting from scratch. It's like tackling a renovation project rather than a complete rebuild – less hassle and more manageable for me.
