Has anyone deleted files from your website?

Has anyone ever deleted files from your website, especially the home page file? If yes, have you tried to trace the person deleting files?

I have never given administrative access to my websites, and my websites have also never been hacked, therefore, I have never encountered this problem,. But once I accidentally deleted my files and could not recover them.

That could only happen from two sources. A person with adminstrative privileges or a hacker. One is a result of carelessness and the other, a result of an attack.
