Do you think that a second wave of covid-19 will affect the Bitcoin price like it did last time?

At the beginning of the epidemic, the price of Bitcoin dropped to $ 5,000. Do you see that will happen again if another wave hit this last two months ??
I don't think so. Because the secy wave is not so much dangerous as it was in first time. So the possibility of drop in Bitcoin's price is now sure

Well, I do not think so. By the way this pandemic can not be said to be the main reason why the price of bitcoin experienced great fluctuations over the past months. Bitcoin has been experiencing such pitfalls from time immemorial, so it's nothing new. The action of holders also affected the price anyways.

The second wave of the pandemic can only affect Bitcoin positively, the reason all sectors were grossly affected during the first wave was because no one had any idea of what preventive measure that could be taken and work could continue but with all measures being put in place I believe all industries are set for the second wave and this wouldn't in any way affect Bitcoin.

Well this thread aged well. We are currently in the second wave of coronavirus pandemic and bitcoin price has been struggling to cross it's all time high of $40000. It is safe to say that the pandemic had little to do with the rise in bitcoin price.

The second wave may not actually affect the btc values positively or negatively, the high rise in the value of btc to 40k usd was due majorly to the US elections which followed a high volume of trading thereby creating a bullish market for btc, also the drastic and disappointing drop in the value is due to low trade and may not be due to the covid second wave.

Personally I think that as the covid virus is spreading globally many people are actually turning to cryptocurrencies as a way for them to earn online amidst the pandemic. Not only that, but I think that people are also starting to Embrace the idea of cryptocurrency because it is a contactless means of payment. This is very important especially with the nature of the virus that we are dealing with. Therefore I think that this is why bitcoin has continued to increase in its price and a second wave will probably prompt bitcoin to increase even more.

As far as I can see, it will not directly affect bitcoin as it is 'virtual' currency and even if it does it won't go lower of its current value today.

The pandemic hasn't made the price of Bitcoin to fall but instead it's making the price of Bitcoin to soar, this is so because alot of investors are moving their investment from the ailing world economy into an investment that is not affected like Bitcoin.

Of course it would affect the price of Bitcoin if we go into another phase of lockdown, price of Bitcoin and other crypto currency are normally affected by market tendencies, bull shark investors and so on and these factors would be affected either positively or negatively which would in turn affect price if Bitcoin.

Yes, it will affect it and many other coins
Covid 19 prevented people from going to work and the price of Bitcoins drop drastically and I believe same thing will occur if a second wave of Covid 19 occurs

To be honest with my ignorance I didn't know that the price of Bitcoin went down to that $5,000 level due to the onset of covid. Maybe the investors were in panic to have a big amount of money in that emergency period so they sold their Bitcoin. That is a lesson to be learned so I don't think that price drop of Bitcoin in the market will happen again in that magnitude when this 2nd wave of covid will cause another pandemic.

The wave of covid-19 pandemic is not the main thing that affects cryptocurrency price. The price are affected when people, especially those holding non-trading bitcoin coins decides to liquidate there investments, thereby increasing the amount of tradable bitcoins in circulation.

Over the last few weeks, bitcoin’s price action has followed closely in line with regular markets, surprising many and damaging the notion of bitcoin’s lack of correlation. When we started working on this piece, . Global markets are scared and behaving as if investors are running for the exits on almost everything.

Definitely the second wave of covid-19 will affect the price of Bitcoin because a lot of Investors will want to withdraw their money for other issues and since there will be some dump in the coin definitely it will automatically affect it's price will can make some Investors lose their money

I think this second wave of COVID-19 will enable and assist Bitcoin to gain more grounds than other crypto currencies. There is every possibility that bitcoin will rise higher in this period as people's predictions have it that Bitcoin will surpass the 50k mark before the end of February

Yes, very much it will affect the rate of not only Bitcoin but Cryptocurrencies at large, even with the USA presidential election, you can see how it affected the bitcoin. But if it will affect positively or negatively, that I don't know.

Bitcoin can never fall down less than $10,000 again and I don't pray for it to fall why because if it does it will affect every other coin cause bitcoin is the father of all coin that have ever existed. The project if bitcoin is really superb.

Well I’m not sure but I really do hope the second wave affects bitcoin positively because recently it has dropped by more than $5000 I hope it rises significantly in the next few months, so I can get my profits on Investment.
