In my home country, by the time people retire from their jobs, they are already past 60 years of age. When people are above the 60s, they are also likely to be suffering from various diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Considering situations like these, I am not sure if retires can actually start a business.

If they have a lot of money, I think buying apartments or houses and renting them out is a good idea because it will provide them with almost guaranteed monthly income and they can also leave them as a legacy after they pass away.

Real Estate business is a very good way they can take but it's one something they will start investing in after they have retired but years before when they are still working actively. Once they retire, they now have something that's working well for them to fall on.
