What was the first game you bought with your own money?

The first video game that my parents didn't give me and that I bought with my own money was Final fantasy X, I'm a big fan of the saga and I had played final fantasy VI to IX at the time and when the latter came out, I couldn't wait and I bought it with my money, what was the first video game you bought with your own money?

In 2016, I was hired to create content for a MInecraft forum. Before that I had never played Minectaft. I asked for upfront payment and used the money to buy Minecraft Pocket edition.
