A domain is the name of a website, a URL is how to find a website, and a website is what people see and interact with when they get there. In other words, when you buy a domain, you have purchased the name for your site, but you still need to build the website itself.

It is funny because a lot of people still don't understand this. I think this is the case for people who didn't grow up with computers or they never bothered to fully learn and understand them so the internet and all of its terms or not second nature to them. My mother is a good example. She doesn't know what a URL even is.

In simple terms domain is the location of your house and the website is your house. Your house exists because it has a location. A website exist because of a domain and web hostnbg service

Domain in beginner explanation is just the address to your website while the website is what we interact with online using our browser or something of similar.

A website comprises of the text, images, audio and videos we see or hear online.

A website is like a house, and a domain is the address that helps people find it. So, the website is the actual place where all your content, like pages and pictures, lives. On the other hand, the domain is the unique name in the web address that directs people to your website. Think of it as the street address that guides you to a specific house. In simpler terms, a website is the home, and the domain is its address on the internet.

Domain could have 2 senses, the first sense is domain name and the second sense is domain of website like website about medicines, a website could not have a domain name and this case we are talking about sub domain for free website builder to make everything clear to us.

Everyone pretty much answered this question, but I will too. To me, the difference is simple. A website is just that, the website. The webpage, the graphical user interface in a way. While a domain is just pointing to it. Like a sign on the side of a road pointing to a business. Sort of like that. You can change this sign whenever you want too. :)
