I'm not actually interested in checking out any new wallet to avoid any problem. I've been using Binance to buy, sell and save any of my coins and very okay with that

Desktop wallet are safe and you not only have the keys but also store the wallet on your device and as long as your device is with you and you have secret phrase, no one can break into it.
