Looking back, this was news that had already been factored in and prove just went lower after the merge. While sometimes such news causes massive pump, it seems the fact that the merge did not have much benefits in the short term and the bear market made it irrelevant.

I do not think that the bearish market as anything in common with the etherium merge , which is a transition from the proof-of-work consensus to the proot-of-stake consensus. The primary purpose is to reduce the difficulty in transaction done on the etherium network.
