It has been known that Facebook is about to launch its own cryptocurrency called LIBRA. It’s no news that Facebook has the highest number of user ranging $4 billion users.
Recently Facebook banned any mentions regarding any other cryptocurrency and I see it as a good move and a good market strategy.
With the emergence of libra, how do you think its launch will affect other cryptocurrencies most especially bitcoin? Considering the fast that bitcoin just hit $21,000 and it’s becoming expensive

I don't think the emergence of Libra will affect Bitcoin that much, alots of people love Bitcoin for it's anonymous nature, how secured it is, it's decentralized system, I dont think Libra can tick all these boxes, even if it does, people that are already used to Bitcoin will never leave Bitcoin.

Libra can serve as a good alternative to bitcoin provided the price of bitcoin becomes too expensive and I strongly believe there’ll be birth of competition for bitcoin next year

Bitcoin have been in existence for over 12 years if am not mistaken. Just because Libra is owned by the world social media platform Facebook, doesn't mean it will skyrocket just like that and meet bitcoin in its current price. Let's think about it.

Well , Libra can't affect Bitcoin because libra is a stable coin ,and most people do not have interest with stable coins.
Secondly , Facebook is not actually the chief pioneer of libra , it was only first promoted through them .

I don't think the emergence of libral coin will affect bitcoin in anyway because, bitcoin is still the king of all cryptocurrency and will not be shacked on the sit. Libral coin is only coming to post threats but not to overtake.

I read some time ago that the LIBRA was now at its epilogue. But maybe I read wrong?
However, consequently, the increase in cryptocurrencies, the most famous of which is Bitcoin, can also be explained by the fact (among all other factors) that the dollar has dropped in its value.

There is what is called msrket dominance and currently bitcoin has that even with the enormous use case of ethereum, it still hasn't been able to overcome bitcoin.

To my own understanding libra can not be compare to bitcoin. Because of time test and profitability of bitcoin have proven over the year that is constant compare to libra that is just getting started no one have hear about it and it hasn't passed the test of time and no testimony have been head about it. But when it comes to bitcoin many more years to come it will still be trending in Crypto market. Because it has passed the test of time.

It doesn't make sense comparing Bitcoin to Libra because bitcoin is already a stabilize crytpo unlike the stable libra coin that is battling to be listed not as Crypto currencies but a stable coin.

Bitcoin has been in existence for 12years but it only got popular in the last 4years we all know Facebook has the best possible way to create awareness for its cryptocurrency
Let's just say the coin was eventually launched, have Facebook told us the value of the coin in the market when it get launched.

The emergence of Facebook Libra would breakthrough for altcoins. I believe that when Facebook Libra is launched a lot of people will be investing towards that direction and that might possibly attract investors to other altcoins.

I think this is going to affect Bitcoin a bit due to the opportunity of name that Facebook has,it will help Libra to be know in no time. This is a very good opportunity for Libra to be known fast.

Libra is completely owned by facebook. And they are going to attakc banks using that coin. And that is why it is not being taken seriously by companies and the banks. And facebook we all know is one of the evil corporations that can be pretty bad for handling coin like that. i would never invest into the libra for that reason.

Very unlikely. If Libra is successful, its value will remain stable. If it tanks and no one uses it, the Libra Association still has reserve money, so if there's a “bank run”—if all the users withdraw their money at once—the Association is good for it.

Truly bitcoin is the most outstanding cryptocurrency currently. Libra is owned by Facebook owner. There’re other social media platforms owned by Mark. Recently, Facebook banned any mention regarding other cryptocurrencies. This was done to create awareness for libra. Though libra is a stable coin but can it dominate the crypto market just like bitcoin did?

Facebook says Libra is a “global currency and financial infrastructure”. In other words, it is a digital asset built by Facebook and powered by a new Facebook-created version of blockchain, the encrypted technology used by bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Libra can serve as a global currency cause it’s not volatile. Libra isn’t a volatile coin and its use is basically for savings purposes. Unlike other some other cryptocurrencies which their value is dependent on the demand and supply, Libra will have a stable price

I don't think that the creation of the Facebook coin when will affect Bitcoin prices in any way because I am sure that people will still be looking to Bitcoin as the main cryptocurrency. In fact, I think that people will be very sceptical when it comes to using the Facebook coin because they have tried to release in the past, and it was not successful. Therefore, I think that there will be a lot of uncertainty when it comes to investing in the coin or even using it.
