I don't think that the creation of the Facebook coin when will affect Bitcoin prices in any way because I am sure that people will still be looking to Bitcoin as the main cryptocurrency. In fact, I think that people will be very sceptical when it comes to using the Facebook coin because they have tried to release in the past, and it was not successful. Therefore, I think that there will be a lot of uncertainty when it comes to investing in the coin or even using it.
Actually I feel the invention of libra will have little effect on bitcoin. Libra is a stable coin and it can’t create any competition for bitcoin but Facebook has proven to be instrumental in creating awareness for bitcoin and Facebook has banned any mention regarding other cryptocurrencies

LIBRA sure is going to become a great crypto currency since it is owned by Facebook. And I bet you, it is going to be listed in Binance as soon as it is launched. I'm actually looking forward to see it get launched. Investing in it will be great.

Actually libra is a stable cryptocurrency. This type of cryptocurrency best serves the purpose of saving and stacking money. It’s a volatile cryptocurrency which means it can’t serve as an investment scheme.

It has been known that Facebook is about to launch its own cryptocurrency called LIBRA. It’s no news that Facebook has the highest number of user ranging $4 billion users.
Recently Facebook banned any mentions regarding any other cryptocurrency and I see it as a good move and a good market strategy.
With the emergence of libra, how do you think its launch will affect other cryptocurrencies most especially bitcoin? Considering the fast that bitcoin just hit $21,000 and it’s becoming expensive

I hope if it comes out it won't be asking me to upload this document or that document. The moment I just it was Facebook that intends launching this coin, I lost interest in the project quickly. That doesn't mean it's a bad project, I'm saying they don't give you privacy anymore.

libra is a great threat to bitcoin. even though people are mostly concerned with bitcoins, market demands also matters. By the time libra comes to market l am sure some people will sell their bitcoin to buy libra thus affecting its price.

Lol i know how frustrating Facebook can be but libra is a cryptocurrency not a social media platform. I beleive some personal informations will be required to open and verify your account just like other cryptocurrency exchange platforms.

I think that banning the mention of other cryptocurrencies on Facebook may not be a good thing for the social media and for the coin that it is planning to release, because there are many that get news of a new coin through general cryptocurrency discussions. For example, I may be having a conversation on Bitcoin and Litecoin and someone may decide to post about ripple which will get me curious and interested. Facebook needs to create such a community in order for people to discuss cryptocurrency, and then they can use that platform as a means by which to promote their coin. Without this promotion it will be hard. Do you know if they are still banning mentions of other cryptocurrencies?

Libra is looking like it's going to be a success especially since its parent founder is a big company like facebook. With what I know about Mark Zuckerberg, he doesn't do failed investments. I will be investing in Libra, the coin has great potentials.

Starting from the date of releases, any mention regarding other cryptocurrencies will be banned. The reason for this move is to stop the awareness created for other cryptocurrencies through Facebook and help create a social media platform environment for libra. This will affect other cryptocurrencies badly

In June 2019, the company announced the official launch of Libra, its new cryptocurrency . The technical documentation, white paper, and testnet for developers described Libraas a global currency and financial infrastructure dedicated to 'creating a more inclusive financial system

I don't see libra coin having any effect on Bitcoin, infact I don't see it competing with ethereum and the recent update in terms of WhatsApp which parent company is Facebook might make people feel skeptical about libra coin. I think the coin will do well on its own because Facebook might allow that be a payment option for Facebook ads but it definitely can't give Bitcoin any trouble

I don't think that it will affect other cryptocurrencies as much as it will affect the new Facebook coin that is being released. The main reason that I am saying this is that if you look at the other cryptocurrencies they have already developed themselves, and they already have a buyer's market. Therefore, at this point it is not necessary for them to develop that market. Whereas if you are banning people from talking about cryptocurrency on the Facebook platform then they might not even talk about the new coin that they are implementing as well, and this could negatively impact their coin more than anything.

I think the crypto currency that is about to be launched by Facebook which is the largest social networking site is going to be good. A lot of people will definitely buy it and it will definitely rise more

This has been in the news for a long time now but I have not really seen any recognised Media outlets reporting it so maybe I will just wait till when it is officially confirmed.

Oh well, I guess Libra is relegated to oblivion for the reasons stated above that the supporting companies have backed out. Anyway, I think Facebook should concentrate on its social media business and forget about dealing with crypto coin. That may ruin Facebook somehow.

At thos time I don't think Facebook community is pushing for the their own coin "Diem to become a tradable coin in the market, cos they aren't making any prior announcement to that.

Libra is intended to be used as a simple medium-of-exchange around the world. Backing the cryptocurrency with a basket of major global currencies is intended to provide price stability. That, in turn, promotes the efficacy of the coin as a simple currency that can be used for daily transactions.

I have also read the announcement about Libra of Facebook as their own cryptocurrency coin.

But as a cryptocurrency trader, I have not encountered it yet in binance trading platform. I hope someday it can be listed in binance.
