National insurance is a type of insurance and does not have any relation to tax laws, means money paid to insurance is not debited from tax as they are two different things that differs.

I do not think that freelancer should pay taxes. They are already earning so low amount of money and taxing them would not be fair at all. They should be provided tax reliefs.

Even someone having a little retailer is not earning a fourtune so pay tax is not a choice to be either paid or avoided it is must for everyone. Except country doesn't regulate sector this is another story.

There is no kind of tax for freelancers or online earners for now in my country but I cannot talk about later
