Renting out your RV?

While this is not a house, it is still property and it is something you can make money from.

I heard that people will buy them and rent them out during the year when they are not using them instead of letting them sit. A friend of mine is considering doing this. I guess you can charge as much as $300 per night with newer models. Anyone here do anything like this before?

With gas prices rising though, is it more of a risk to take right now?

Does your insurance accept rentals or would they refuse coverage? I know my auto insurance doesn't even cover someone being a driver for something like Uber so that's something you would really need to investigate.

I don't know much about this business before. But with what you explained, I think it's a good business idea. I myself will research about this business and see if I can make some money from it. There are not many business that can bring you $300 in a night.

I've not known much about it though, but what I got here it will nice as one could easily gain a lot in renting for a night, but it will require a lot of capital to start for someone who doesn't have it yet.

For big majority of rentals provides package for rental per month or day or week because some people wants to rent of one night because they are coming for vacation purpose and return to their countries next month.

This is a very welcome idea. Better than having to run around for larger options which might be more expensive (for instance, having to rent a shortlet or spend the night in an air bnb, motel e.t.c

RVs are not very popular here, however, ever since I heard about them and saw how people are living a nomadic life through RV, I have always thought about getting it for myself. But looks like I need a substantial amount of money for that purpose.

This is because not everyone can afford the price of an RV that are very expensive for the rental and then the people money are few to afford for such a cost.
