It has come to our attention that some users may be copying articles from other platforms and using a service such as Quillbot to paraphrase the content in order to bypass any of the plagiarism checks that we have in place. Any users that are not posting legitimate content that they have created or not properly citing their sources will result in penalties being added to their account up to and including termination of your account from our forum.

We encourage every user to come up with their own content; not just copying other people's hard work.

After visiting the Quillbot site, in my opinion Quillbot is not a site to check copy paste, but a paraphrasing site or almost the same as Grammarly.

Seems to be a site where people can paste copied text in order to simply change the words around without putting any effort into making their own content. If that is what people are doing, why should they get paid for their shitty copied content?

Admin, do you have plans to identify these users that post plagiarized words?

We are monitoring the content that is posted and anything that appears to be paraphrased by any script will be dealt with. Warnings here carry heavy penalties which result in C$0.10 per point. Plagiarism is 3 points for each post that is plagiarized. So, this means C$0.30 per warning penalty will be issued to the account. I am hopeful that this penalty will discourage plagiarism and encourage people to post legitimate content.

The most importantly you must be able to prove plagiarism, by including the original site link, not just accusing without proof.

I use Quillbot for my own writing, but I was sure some people might be misusing the feature. Quillbot don't change entire content, so matching content is possible in copied ones.

I don't know about Quillbot website, but copying articles from other sites is unethical. Doing your own hard work is better in the long run.

It takes almost the same effort to do simple Google research for the topic at hand as it takes to tweak plagiarized content. It's also beneficial to use your own words as the person learns more this way.
