It is no longer a news that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is used to pay for goods and services around the world. My question is as realtor or house owner can you allow your tenant pay rent with crytocurrency?

Well, for now I don't think this is possible. Maybe, maybe for now this could only be allowed in the country of El Salvador, where Bitcoin has been legalized as a spendable currency (this along with the dollar, their fiat currency). But even there, I'm not sure.
However, I believe this will be possible in a short time.

Never!!. If I was a realtor I wouldn't allow it, because imagine a situation a tenant paid the rent and minutes later the values of the crypto dropped drastically, that would be a loss. Except I'm self-sufficient and looking to invest in the crypto business.

Good idea, if you can accept cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to pay rent, especially if the price of crypto is cheap, then if you receive crypto from your tenant the same as you buy crypto at a low price.

I do not think it's a good idea to accept rent for your property with crypto currency. The price is not stable so you might end up being in losses. And on some occasions profits excerpt you plan on using a stable coin instead of the normal crypto currencies.

Even though bitcoins and other coins are being used for goods and serviced around the world, I don't think it is advisable to allow tenants pay rents using crypto coins. This is because crypto coins are volatile in nature. For instance, a tenant can just make payment to the landlord and before the landlord could sell or leave it in the wallet, then the value of the said coin has gone down. This becomes a problem. Though it can go up again.

The truth of the matter is that there are only few people who are open to accepting and making use of cryptocurrencies for any kind of transactions.

I will definitely want my business associates to have a flexible way of paying me and receiving payment in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies is not a bad idea at all.

You have point but the positive side outweighs the negative side of paying rent in cryptocurrency. What if the value go up? Even though cryptocurrency is volatile and unpredictable with time the value will always rise.

Crypto currency is illegal here. I would never use crypto to pay rent even if this option was available to me. I think you should not spend crypto currencies, you should rather hold and sell when it is high

That would not actually be a good idea, because of the issue of fluctuations in the value of cryptocurency, because imagine a situation after the money has been paid and the price falls down,it will be a great loss.

Yes if I am realtor I would certainly be accepting all my money in crypto.
It's a beautiful innovation so it is nice to become part of the new world

It's quite a nice innovation but it won't be feasible in developing countries because some people don't even have in-depth knowledge about crypto currencies. They'll rather prefer hard cash.

I can confidently say that one can pay his or her rent from crypto currency because rent is usually paid yearly/annually. At least within these time one who is passionate and dedicated to making money via this means can definitely get a lot from it

Don't generalise payment of rent to be the same everywhere as it is in your country,in some places like in Europe and America rent is paid monthly and when converted to naira is on the high side

This particular thought crossed my mind recently and I was like WOW, it would be so good if we can start using crypto currency to pay off bills like house rent, hospital bill, and to purchase stuffs from the market and more, just imagine, no need to keep stock of hard currency
