Life on Earth is finite and not very long. Also, people still have to pay taxes on land and homes. In this case, why is there an obsession with owning? Does it make people feel big? Is it something that is some economic class obsession?

I do not know why the rich people are suddenly interested in investing in land and buildings. Rich people are mostly investing in farm land, perhaps because food is a risk free business.
