On a must serious note, cryptocurrency were not to be banned in Nigeria, the best they should have do is to regulate the inflow and outflow of it. Because it's what the whole world use as another platform of paying online, which is also accepted in various countries until now most of them were like going against it . But I think either they like it or not they will still accept it as other means of payment worldwide.
Endeavor to proof read because as it stands the use of cryptocurrencies in Nigeria is not approved meaning it ban despite that people strive to trade if in their own risk . I also believe they will reverse he ban

Nigerian government and CBN are playing politics on us. Both are very much on the same page. The government of Nigeria deceived us that the cryptocurrency can't be banned, it can only be regulated. But, till now, none of them revisit the move till now.

There are indications that the ban on cryptocurrency in Nigeria will soon be lifted because the Nigerian securities and exchange commission is all on the way of bringing up regulations for cryptocurrencies uses in Nigeria. The senate summon of CBN is part of the process.

There was a serious disagreement in the red chamber of the Nigerian Senate earlier today over the CBN ban Crypto Currencies, majority of the senators are opposed to the Ban ,they are of the opinion that Crypto currencies should rather be regulated instead of outright ban . Their resolution is to invite the DG of Nigerla SEC and the governor of CBN to engage them further. This is according to the news outlet Nairaland.
I was so elated when I saw the news and watched the plenary session when Senator Lawan and thee Senate unanimously called out the CBN Governor and questioned their move to ban cryptocurrencies, I knew that they have done their own research and wanted better explanation for CBN'S action.

After that we saw a statement that points to a reversal soon, it's was a beautiful day for me.

I think the summons were co in just in time in other to really understand the rational beyond their actions and why is the ban coming at this time. Infant it has a political undertone. Almost everything that happens in Nigeria always have some form of political undertone.

some of the Law that is being made by the Nigerian government do not make sense because I don't see the need for them to ban cryptocurrency in Nigeria when cryptocurrency do not have any effect on the corruption that is going on in the government.

These set of leaders are very confused about this crypto currency of a thing for them to ban the withdrawal and deposit of crypto currencies in our local banks, then some few months down the line they are already proposing to launch their own crypto coin. Infact they are confusing themselves.

This is just for attention purpose as we did not even see the CBN governor appear before the Senate for this reason at all. Our politicians are just hypocrites.

I don't know the actual reason why they are banning cryptocurrency but some people said that a lot of people are using cryptocurrency to run a scam project and to scam innocent people, they should not ban cryptocurrency in any way.

This is goodnews only if these men are acting for the interest of the citizens and not their own selfish desire. I believe that soon the ban will be lifted and regulation will set in

I wouldn't know if they're still pulling
or following this again because they were more serious about it when the ban was issued initially.

Personally, I think it is a good move. But I have lived in Nigeria for some time now and I know my country better. Yes, they have deliberated on it, but will you hear about the matter again, or it went? But if there is a positive result from this, fine! It is just my opinion.

News relating to Nigeria government and CBN no longer interest me honestly. Until i see changes before i can actually believe their words. They keep on going back and forth. The ones you did expect to make the right decisions, are the ones actually causing the whole confusion

This is something that is becoming popular in the Nigerian government, shifting blame from one person to another, look at what happened during the #Endsars, the government blaming the military and military bandits and so on so also with crypto now till God knows when..

Lol!! These guys in the Senate are heavily invested in the cryptocurrencies buisness as well for them to be kicking this hard against the CBN. It is a good thing anyway as we all are not in support of the CBN policy

Probably most of them that had invested in cryptocurrency are using binance P2P another peer-to-peer exchange platforms because there has not been any updates as regards the lawmakers and the Central Bank of Nigeria discussions on cryptocurrency.

I don't think they are still thinking about it . They are presently focusing on the tumoils in the country and thus they are relenting . I also believe that there will be regulations instead of ban

I feel happy that there are some leaders out there who still have the interest of their citizens at heart.Nigerian youths were making a living out of crypto before the ban occurred
