I was surprised to also learn that the Nigeria
is the second biggest bitcoin market in the world but I think most of that statistics come from the fact that there are so many people in Nigeria who want to launder money and they see bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrency as the best means to do that.

I don't really know about it but I know Nigeria is getting well equipped about Bitcoin
There are places where people learn how to trade on Bitcoin and I believe there are some business organizations where they pay with Bitcoins
I believe Nigeria is the best when it come to bitcoins in Africa but I don't know about the world.

It is not a news that shocked me. Nigeria is known for her market. That's why she will always be relevant in the global economy. I wish Nigeria is saddled with responsive government, she would have been one of the best countries to live in.

The company says Nigerians make up around a quarter of its customer base with 1.3 million registered accounts. “They mostly use the platform for peer-to-peer and arbitrage trading,” says Nena Nwachukwu, Paxful Nigeria regional manager. “Remittances is also a popular use case.” Nwachukwu says bitcoin transfers are “much cheaper and faster than using traditional money transfer operators.”

The only thing I love about Nigeria is that they always utilize any opportunity maximally. They see their population as a means of getting much money and relevance in the world.

Cryptocurrency investment is really becoming popular over here in Nigeria. In every nooks and and crannies of Nigeria you hear people talking about bitcoin investment. This might be as a result of higher rate of unemployment in Nigeria. Nobody want to stay idle in Nigeria everybody wants to invest.

I wouldn't doubt this statistics. As Nigerian's adoption of Bitcoin is somewhat crazy.
Trust Nigerians to always go all out for anything they believe in.
And despite this high figure, i make bold to say that less than 2% Nigerians know what Bitcoin is.
Hence I would say the untapped market in Nigeria is still huge.
Most people ate still sceptical about what Bitcoin is, it's spendabilty and trust.
While a good number of the adopters are youths who basically find a safe heaven in bitcoin and cryptocurrency Generally, as a way to escape poverty.

Why not? It's one of the safest way to move and store money pending when you will spend it. As for Nigeria, the youths here are doing very well in terms of cryptocurrency trading.

As a Nigerian thus actually comes as a surprise to me given the fact that there are still so many people who haven't heard or know what bitcoin means. Bit coin investments serves as an escape route to what commercial banks do with their very poor services and terms. I think this development is only going to grow and many more people are going to start adopting bitcoin.

During the police brutality protests in Nigeria in October, bitcoin saved the day when the government shut out protesters from using local payment platforms for collecting donations to support it.The young, tech-savvy protesters quickly switched to using bitcoin, and in about a week bitcoin accounted for around 40% of the nearly $400,000 raised. It was just one high-profile example of how young Nigerians increasingly use bitcoin to navigate a complicated and restrictive banking and monetary system.

I am not surprised with this. Nigeria is a country that always accept every new innovations. Bitcoin is a currency that has great potentials. And one thing about Nigeria is that though we don't create things but we welcome new innovations and support them

That shows we are trading more on Bitcoin than the way we trade other mineral resources like gold, silver, diamond, platform etc. Bitcoin has helped Nigerians ease unemployment rate a little.

Most of the people I know are Bitcoin traders and they are doing well in it. You know that when a business is successful, others will want to join it. This is exactly what happened in the case of Nigerians trading on crypto currencies.
