I'll focus on my personal growth more than what I did this year.

I stopped making new year resolutions 10 years ago. I realized it was a waste of time since I hardly keep any of them.

I just plan to make more money than I did the previous year.

What is your New Years resolution for 2024?

Mine is to get more exercise.

I don't bother, as my mind considers the passage of years to be meaningless and depressing, "oh man! Another year in which I didn't graduate from college, get a job, become a chess candidate master, leave the United States, get my business started yet."

I find that I cannot build action from depression, it is not a useful emotion, and so it is better to just ignore the passage of years and focus on things I do find meaningful instead.
