Must I follow preset rules to be successful in business?

The preset rules are tried and tested rules by professionals but if you're sure of what you're doing you can follow your intuition and set your own rules, after all they all started from somewhere, and you can make your mark on the business world as well.

@Lilia the business world is more dynamic. Most of those preset rules doesn't apply to all businesses. As an entrepreneur, you must work out strategies that works best for your company. Every business owner should have rules that work for their business.

When it comes to rules that apply in business, you have to be careful because you can't compare American situation with that of Nigeria, so when talking about rules, you must adjust for your country's economic situations before continuing your business.

I am not in the look out for such book before, now or tomorrow.
I will set my own rule and leave by it. Some basics knowledge that is a must in any business will do. No success template anywhere though we can look up to others for inspiration but one needs to quickly realise that no two system is identically same

You do not have to follow preset rules to be successful in business. You have to stand out and think outside the box if you plan to succeed. Not following preset rules doesn't mean your own rules must go against existing rules of engagement and ethics of the business.

what if going against the existing rules business leads to a discovery that will announce the company to the world.@segsshowee I disagree. Entrepreneurs must think outside the box. Being a disruptor you , you gain a lot. Looking at the leading business men of our century you will understand that thinking outside the box has a lot of advantage
