Whether you are just starting or are already an experienced freelancer, one of the most tricky parts of being a freelancer is pricing your services. Here are some key considerations:
Know your experience level (you can charge high if you have more experience)
Use time-based price (time you require to finish the job)
Consult other freelancers

Well, it's always easy for you to look into what other freelancers are pricing their jobs. When it's the same services they are selling that you want to sell, you can easily copy their own price and tweak it to whatever that's convenient for you. With consulting other freelancers, they might not tell you the real truth about their price.

Checking on your competitors' price will give you an idea about the price you need to set for your gig, however, you will also have to consider your skills, expertise, as well as experience in order to set your selling price.

The quality in the service of what you are going to deliver is what is going to be a key factor in determining your own price after checking what competitors are offering in the market. This is so that you will know exactly what is going to make your own service to be different and have it to be at a different price from other people are selling.

I do not think anyone will admit that they deliver poor quality, everyone is delivering the best service. But your buyers are the ones who will actually say whether your service is quality or not. If you have a lot of satisfied buyers and a l;ot of postive reviews, I think you can price your services higher.

Yeah, that's very correct. I have never seen any freelancer that's going to admit that their services are of low quality especially when they want to sell. It's only after they have sold and delivered their services to their buying client that it's going to be known if they offered high quality or trash quality.

I like being on the same page with other quality service selling freelancers. They know the financial value of their services, it makes them to fix a good price for it. I will never look at what low quality cheap freelancers are selling because they are only there to disrupt the price of services.

Personally I don't like it whenever I see those who are working online as freelancers begin to short sell themselves and their services for the purpose of having an advantage in the competitive market by lowering prices of services to what it should never have been sold. This is a direct mockery to the services that they are selling.

If they don't admit it, their work will prove it. This is why in freelancing, even if you don't admit how good or bad your services are, when they are delivered to your client, everything is going to be visible. A lot of them don't repeat a second time.

If your clients are not satisfied, they will not buy from you. If they are satisfied, it means you have delivered high quality services. One of the reasons why I stopped working on freelancing platform was because I was getting repeat orders from my clients outside the freelance marketplace.

If you're getting repeated orders from your clients outside the freelance marketplace, it saves you the commission charges those freelance marketplace like Fiverr and Upwork etc puts on services sold. If you strive to deliver high quality job to your clients, they will ask for your personal contact but make sure to get your payment from them before working on any job outside the freelance marketplace.

I was mainly working on upwork. The platform took a huge chunk of money as a commission. Then I used to withdraw from payoneer and payoneer took a lot of money in the name of transaction fees. When I made $100, I was actually receiving just $75. When I started working independently, and when I received $100 worth of contract, I was receiving as much as $95 in my bank account.

I actually find out there are some webmasters who are interested in ordering low quality services simply because they are cheap and they don't care about the quality that they receive from those job as long as it is bringing activity on there forum.

I was once contacted by someone to work for him but I should just be writing one line post whether it made sense or not as long as I'm going to accept a cheap payment for the job.
