Is it really necessary to join a pension scheme in my place of work we are not asked to join any pension scheme but as an individual should I join or should I not and why do you feel I should join cause am seeing a lot about pension scheme and my place of work doesn't have one

I am young and as soon as I start working I have plans to set up plans for my retirement. To me it is far better you start by investing your money into things that would bring you profits I the long term.
