Does anyone here use solar panels? I have always wanted to get some put up on and around my house, but I hear it's pretty costly to get set up, and it doesn't always give you energy, which is why you will probably need to keep your service with your current energy company.

But, you could use solar panels for sure to save some money on your electricity bill each month. Who here uses solar panels? Does it save a lot of money for you?

Yes, I use solar panels at my house, and they have been a great addition to my energy setup. I have solar panels installed to power all the lighting and light-duty electricals in my home. It has been an excellent way to save on my electricity bills and reduce my reliance on traditional energy sources. Not only does it help me cut down on my monthly expenses, but I also feel good about reducing my carbon footprint and using clean energy.

While the initial setup cost of solar panels can be significant, the long-term savings and environmental benefits make it a worthwhile investment for me. I've automated some aspects of my solar setup, like using solar-powered security lights that switch on and off based on daylight conditions. It's been a convenient and eco-friendly way to manage my household's energy consumption.

Solar panels is the the way forward for alternatives for electricity. If it were up to me, generators usage should be banned. It's causing noise pollution and air pollution from the burning of fuel or gas. I have solar system but it's not big. I will install a bigger one with 8 panels by next year.

Unfortunately, I have not started making use of solar panel but it is something that I have on my budget plan to start using sooner or later. I'm still making use of generator and my generator is still very new because I had to replace my old one which got faulty after I tried fixing it on my own and ended up spoiling everything.

If you start making use of solar panels for your electricity, it will be like heavy load taken off from you by no longer worrying to purchase fuel or gas for your generator. Is your generator using petrol or diesel? Diesel is more expensive than petrol in my State.

We have solar panels in our farmhouse. It is a small setup, just for lighting the home when there is a power cut. I live in a city, the landlord has installed solar panels but these panels can only provide hot water in the bathroom.

I am currently making use of a petrol powered generator. There is no way I would make use of a diesel power generator because it is very expensive to maintain for the generator and also very expensive for you to buy diesel in my country. Most public transport that are using diesel have parked their buses because of the high cost of diesel.

Currently, I do not have such an opportunity, but I see the situation in the world and the changes in the climate, so I have been saving money for a long time to install them and somewhat reduce my dependence on gas and electricity delivered by wires

I've been using solar panels for quite some time, and they've truly transformed the way I approach energy consumption. While there's no denying that the initial setup cost can seem daunting, the long-term benefits far outweigh the investment. Solar power not only helps to reduce electricity bills but also contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
