Do you think social media will soon require ID verification?

I have seen that the European parliament has a proposal to carry this out, I would not be surprised if at some point this becomes a reality, I think this would drop to some extent the popularity of certain social networks, do you think that social networks at some point will require identity verification?

I do not see that happening because social media is not a financial service. However, I do believe that social media might require ID verification to access certain services such as social commerce, getting verified badge, etc.
