Do Taxes Get Deducted From Pensions As Well?

We know the concept of personal income and personal disposable income. When taxes get deducted from your main income, you become eligible to spend that income. However, what about pensioners? Does tax also get deducted from the pensions as well?

I am not a pensioner, therefore, I do not know this for sure. I believe every country has its own tax rules,including taxation on pension. But I think in my home country, pension is tax-free income

Pension is taxable under salaries but lump sum pension amount is not taxable.
