Seriously, it's quite frustrating when you see such failed projects. That money used on such failed projects would be more effective to other good projects in a way.

It feels sad to see your project not moving as planned after spending much money to build it. That's why i make inquiries about the location I'm investing on and the fixed price of materials and how much labourers charge per day.

Building a duplex for rent can be a profitable business depending on the location in which the duplex was built, example is building a duplex in a poor man area, that's means the area is full of poor people , nobody in the area will be ready to rent the duplex

Sounds like a good idea, if you are able to finish the building you can give it out for rent and earn that way. Getting a tenant shouldn't be a huge problem. Yes, it is going to be a profitable business long term

You are right with the higher rental in the urban area. But how would you buy a lot in the city when it is very expensive? My take on a duplex for rent is to be built in the suburban town or maybe in the rural town near the suburbs. At least the land is cheap and you can also have a bigger lot for the duplex.

I think it can be profitable depending on the area you reside. If you stay in somewhere that is full with low income workers, you will find it difficult to make profits.
