This is actually the first time that I am hearing that browser extensions can steal data like bitcoin password. I will definitely be careful now with using browser extensions or I will completely remove any browser extensions on my smartphone.

It is always wondered that installing all these kind of third-party plugins and applications from unknown sites can actually harm your device or have a steak on your savings.

This warning is good for the benefit of the members in this forum. However, there is not much information about the browser extension malware so it is like just scaring us with the warning. I hope next time you post a warning make it complete with enough information that we can identify the malware.

Extensions can gather a wealth of data, which can be leaked, stolen, and used by scammers. One example is browser history, which can expose users’ online habits, including crypto-related site visits.

Thanks for your valuable information to all of us that there are browser extension that contains malware that could steal my password.

I think that this is the reason why until today my expectations of withdrawing Bitcoin from a browser has not come yet.

Stealing bitcoins through a browser extension is called cryptojacking, which is very common these days because a lot of people are trying to ming bitcoin through browsers.
Things like this actually make me to lose interest in anything that has to do with using mobile phones to try mining any cryptocurrencies online.

Unfortunately, lot of browser extensions are essential in order to earn from specific pay to sites and programs and to receive cashback from online purchases (for ex. WowApp web). We can't get rid of these essential extensions or we stop to earn. We must protect our devices with proper tools (activating Defender and its anti-ransomware if we are using Windows and scanning the machine with free but efficient protection companion tool as KVRT).

I just heard of this for the first time now - a great quality of this forum. Though I don't doubt that this is possible. This is one of my greatest fears about this coin that's not regulated

Hackers are very hard working to steal people's money. Imagine creating a browser also to steal people's money. That is why it is advisable to use only browser that are known like chrome

Yes I have come across such comments somewhere and so people must be aware of this app.
They install some malwares that copy your login details which they can use to hack into your wallets
