I've noticed there is no category available for gambling posts and threads on Bizdustry. I suggest creating a category where people can talk about casinos, sportsbooks and gambling in general.

Gambling is something we don't really support/encourage. Due to that, you don't see a category for that. It's a thing that could be exploited by other users by posting semi-legit sites or damaging sites. But if you need more info I am sure @Alexander or @Joshua Farrell can explain it better before we mark the topic as Solved.

This is a touchy subject really, as since this forum is being operated similar to a business, we have to take into consideration laws regarding even this type of gambling. For example, the country I live in, technically forbids most types of online gambling, if actual money is involved. While raffling and betting to varying degrees are lawful based on locality (even in the United States of America), we need to take this into consideration before allowing such things to be permitted.

As a forum that is running like a business, if we implement something that can potentially be illegal, we must first find out where legality comes into play, based on the country, and then prohibit it based on that.

I am not saying we will outright ban betting on things on the forum, but if we were to add an addon that allows it to be organized, we need to read up on laws, to make sure we are following them.

Have you ever considered advertising here in my signature? This Text Ad Location and the above Graphic Ad Location is available to advertise in.

@Vladv26 If that answers your questions let me know, if you need further elaboration let me know.
If it does answer your question I'll close the thread :)

@Joshua Farrell I wasn't referring to a gambling or betting area where you can place bets or gamble. I was just referring to a category on the forum where people can post reviews about different casinos and sportsbooks they have tried. I don't see how this could affect the forum since no gambling activity will take place here, all we are going to do is discuss about gambling related things and websites.

Promoting gambling can be illegal in some states or such, which includes reviews as well, saying "This site is good and legit." even if it's a review could lead to legal action against the forum. Even if there are no gambling activities, the forum could get in trouble for promoting it.
