Have you ever had to go through an orientation when it came to starting your job? When i worked at the call center they sort of had us do an orientation sort of thing. I'd go in, sit there and they'd teach us for hours how to properly do your job. Essential stuff like that. How did your work orientation go if your job had one?

Different kinds of jobs have different kinds of orientation. The fact of the matter remains that it entirely depends on the nature of job. This is due to the fact that each and every kind of business is different and they offer different kinds of job opportunities. I have also worked in a telemarketing company as well.
 
Training in something that is always very important in any job that a business is offering to their workers because that is what is going to impact on the employees the mode of operation they are expected to carry out in delivering their duties. Whenever training is not taken seriously, workers usually lack in what they are supposed to do.

I think that when it comes to work orientations, we must understand the importance of relevant people. For example, a computer software engineer would not be able to work in the automobile industry until or unless the nature of job is related to software engineering. This is why orientation of a professional may also matter a lot.

The reality is that most people who are getting their first job doesn't have any working experience. Everything they know is nearly 100% theories and that's why it's very important to give all of them extensive work orientation in any company where they have been employed to work. Without the orientation, it's going to be very difficult for them to work.
 
I never had to go through an orientation program for jobs. When I joined jobs I already had relevant skills and experience. For instance, when I started a job in a media company, I already had a lot of experience writing for newspapers. When I started working as a manager on a store, I already had experience managing businesses.
 
As long as you already have an experience in the job that you have been hired which the company is very aware of, they are not going to waste their resources in trying to train you extensively the way they are going to do it for their new workers. They might just put you through a minor training to just make sure that you are still up to date on how to do the job very well.

Whenever you have a skill in a particular kind of job which it is needed it makes it very easy for you to adapt to any work that is related to the same work and you will find it very easy to adjust when you are pushed to do that kind of work. This is the reason why there is always going to be the kind of orientation for you to go through in that new job which your skill is not specifically meant for.

It depends on how well a person adjusts. Work orientations are different for different people. There are many people who have a particular kind of orientation related to career choice. So, they must pursue that specific kind of career that suits their orientation.
