If you mean adoption level maybe some of the top 10 can get it but Bitcoin may have grown more by then too.Bitcoin is on a level far from everyone else. I think all of the above, one that could potentially and realistically compete with Bitcoin. Maybe not as much or more, but around the same worth and all that. I mainly mean the worth though, can a cryptocurrency even match what Bitcoin is worth? If you mean market capitalization, that is to say, that some other crypto surpasses it and occupies the 1st position in the top, perhaps Ethereum can achieve it in the future, but I see it as really difficult, many people who are not in the crypto world or know about it, for sure have heard minimally about Bitcoin, that It doesn't happen with other cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is certainly quite famous.
If we talk about price, it is difficult to know, mainly because there are several factors that affect the price of a cryptocurrency, bitcoin only has 21 million coins, so since it is scarce, it is easier for said asset to get a fairly high price. It's exceedingly improbable that any cryptocurrency would ever achieve the adoption and value of Bitcoin. Bitcoin will not be on pause for another cryptocurrency to come and surpass it in worth. If others cryptocurrencies are appreciating, the same thing is happening with Bitcoin and it makes it impossible for another coin to catch it. Bitcoin have been leading in the cryptocurrency market for years. There was never a day in the past 15 years if I remembered correctly that any other coin have led ahead of Bitcoin. This means that it's in fact impossible for us to see anything like that happening tomorrow.
Well, many people consider Ethereum to be the first cryptocurrency that may surpass bitcoin and this is why there are so many investors who are interested in purchasing Ethereum. However, I do not think that Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin quite easily.
