what do you mean by the same level? price or adoption, or maybe market capitalization? If you mean adoption level maybe some of the top 10 can get it but Bitcoin may have grown more by then too.
I think all of the above, one that could potentially and realistically compete with Bitcoin. Maybe not as much or more, but around the same worth and all that. I mainly mean the worth though, can a cryptocurrency even match what Bitcoin is worth? Will any crypto make it that high?
If we talk about price, it is difficult to know, mainly because there are several factors that affect the price of a cryptocurrency, bitcoin only has 21 million coins, so since it is scarce, it is easier for said asset to get a fairly high price. In the case of Ethereum, which has more than 200 million tokens, it is much more difficult to achieve that price even if it had the same market capitalization.
It's exceedingly improbable that any cryptocurrency would ever achieve the adoption and value of Bitcoin. Although the cryptocurrency industry is continuously changing, Bitcoin holds a unique position as the first and most well-known cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin will not be on pause for another cryptocurrency to come and surpass it in worth. If others cryptocurrencies are appreciating, the same thing is happening with Bitcoin and it makes it impossible for another coin to catch it. They might never reach the last all time high in Bitcoin.
