Yes , thats true, pandemic has let scammers to increase in number and the number of scam crypto investment sites are also increasing. But good news is people are now aware of those scams and the situation now is much better than it used to be when lot of them were investing in HYIPs and losing money.
People are becoming more aware of these scams, however I think that one of the major concerns that is still resulting in these scams is advertisements. There are many legitimate platforms that people make use off that still have advertisements for scam sites and Ponzi schemes and I think that people associate these legit sites with only legit advertisements, hence causing them to fall within these traps. It is my thinking that in the future these scam sites should not be advertised on reputable websites, in order to lower their exposure.

Yeah I have seen those ads about scam sites many times in reputed sites like Cointiply , adbtc , where people fall into scam so quickly. Though its true most of the faucet earners or PTC earners dont to invest in any site , but its very bad for the sites to allow scam site advertisements.

The pandemic has given rise to several scams but I think the offline scams have stopped somehow. That probably means the scammers would be focusing on online scams now and probably in the crypto industry as well. Perhaps the people have to understand that it is time to be aware of the risk in the internet.

With the covid 19 pandemic there are many that are in lockdown and there are many more that do not have jobs as well. AS such there are people that are desperate for their earnings and in this way they are quite vulnerable. As with vulnerability there is always those that are willing to take advantage of people and this is where the scammers come in. I feel that during this time scammer may choose to take advantage of this vulnerability and as such there will be a rise in the crypto scams that we see online? Do you concur?

I implore all members to be careful on the online earning strategies and to do the necessary research before you invest in any online method. Also as a rule of thumb, if it sounds to good to be true, then it likely is. I wish you all the best and stay safe from online scammer. To beat them we need to stop falling victim to their scams.
I concur with your thoughts. I believe that through this coronavirus pandemic, scammers are out to victimize us. They are coming out in the open to run away all our hard earned money. That is why I heed to your warnings about cryptocurrency scammers. It's true that they disguise themselves in too good to be true investment sites.

It is not that they are trying to victimize people or specifically target people, however if you look at how many people have moved to earning from an online platform there is a lot more potential people that can be scammed out of their funds and in turn this provides them with a larger potential victim base as such. This may be the wrong word for it, but it possibly how scammers are viewing it. This is why I implore you to do a lot of research before investing, and if uncertain consult with forum members as there are many experienced members here that will be willing to guide and help you accordingly.

Keep screaming it in their ears bro. People would just be greedy for no reason. The painful thing is that they have not the slightest idea about how the whole crypto thing works and not willing to learn, all that drives them is how someone held 1000 worth of bitcoin in the year 2009 and is a millionaire today

All I can say right now is to always pray to god not to meet any of the scammers both online and offline, because recently I was scammed as well which is offline scamming, although is like a shock to me but it makes me learn more about them.

That's true, it was during the pandemic that the Twitter handle of most influential individuals were hacked and used to scam people of their money.

I think the pandemic has no effect in the scamming because it is done online. Whether there is the covid or not the scammers will continue their crime because it is their way of life already. Maybe some scammers survive with the benefits of their scamming scheme.

Before the pandemic, cryptocurrency scams have been on ground. And the pandemic is in no way a thing that will increase cryptocurrency scams because it will still increase regardless of pandemic or no pandemic
