There are a number of reasons that could be contributed to the popularity of ripple, it's low gas fees is one of them, and the suit too definitely put it more in the news in turn increasing it's popularity
 
True, I think there was an increase in the usage because of the low transaction fees and also the speed. I think ripple has potentials regardless of the lawsuit.
 
Besides the speed, I think other factors also made the ripple coin popular. Some of these factors includes the lawsuit they where facing, it drew more attention to them. Another issue again is the potential of the coin.

Well for me I do not see popularity here because the coin is not doing as we expected ,maybe because they are having some problems to settle, but must we continue to wait for them until they are able to settle their problem before we are capable to invest in cryptocurrency ?

This is amazing. 4 seconds for a transaction? That's super fast I must admit. I'll definitely favor this type of transaction if I'm to deal in cryptocurrency trades online; this would save all the stress in waiting or fears that might not be released on time when performing urgent transactions.
