Cryptocurrency trading could be so tricky and risky. I always advise people to go for long-term trading instead of short-term. Buy your cryptocurrencies when the prices are low, and keep them for a couple of months or a couple of years till when the rise again before you sell them, and make your profit.

Usually I prefer short term investment but unfortunately I have bought Bitcoin at 40800 Dollar and now it's rate has decreased up to $30,000 so it become a long-term investment for me.

Both the long and short time crypto currency investment has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. So you can actually make a choice. As for me I prefer short time investment with crypto currency. The choice is yours.

When I read the word “trader” I think about this person is actively buying and selling in a market. They are taking multiple positions, either long (buy) or short (sell) throughout any 24-hour period. Contrast this with “investing” which is buying and holding an asset for months or years. It’s an important distinction. Traders are “active” in markets and investors “sleep” in markets. Trading is short term. (note: a balanced portfolio has both long-term and short-term investments.)

As far as I'm concerned on the subject on cryptocurrency, I'm all for short term investment. I don't think I can stomach the long term investment or hodl in this business. I don't have a very strong Constitution for holding that long.

To be honest, I am not into crypto currency although I admit that I am in the learning process. As of now my answer to the question is a long term investment. If I will invest $100 now then I would keep the crypto for 1 year at least before I check if I can sell it. With the Bitcoin's value that is continuing to rise from time to time the projected profit of that investment would be at least 10% but more likely it would be bigger.

Yes you are right with your analysis. So if you think of it very well, you will see that someone who is active in the market maybe richer than someone who keeps for the future because the price may not even surge up when he or she expects the price to rise.
