There's no way of telling when cryptocurrency is going to become a mainstream payment method. There are so many people who are not in support of cryptocurrency even when it's used in their countries. There are still so many country's government not being in support of cryptocurrency. All these added up makes it difficult to say cryptocurrency will be generally accepted at any particular time.

You're right about that. Cryptocurrency still have to go a long way before it could be the most used and efficient payment method. I've also noticed that so many site don't make use of the cryptocurrency option for making payments on their platform.

Exactly! It's a very big challenge with most websites. Most of the websites that I know which used to pay in cryptocurrency have all stopped. It's only Forum Coin and Bizdustry that I can think of that still pays in cryptocurrency. Indexforum.com used to pay in Bitcoin and Litecoin but they no longer do.
