While it is not possible for a cryptocurrency to crash to zero value, it is possible for a cryptocurrency to experience a heavy price fall. That is what is happening to bitcoin now, it had price surge of almost 300% in a few months and now it's crashing down fast from $40k to $14k in just 2 weeks. Many investors who made the mistake of buying bitcoin in bulk when the price was very high are bound to get heavy losses now.

Bitcoin didn't crash down to as low as $14k but $29,700k was the lowest in the last few days, the investors who are new are the ones who made the panic sales otherwise those who know the trend of bitcoin are still holding there's. Bitcoin is now $37k plus

Maybe the decreasing price after buying would not be that matter (until you don't buy, as hypothetical example, a bitcoin costing 100 thousand dollars in a specific moment and suddelnly the price goes to 1000), but the way we store cryptocurrencies:

1) in a not so realible wallet/exchange that scams, taking away our cryptocurrencies or
2) we didn't pay attention to the seed when we choose an app wallet we own the keys, our device break up and we can't recover the wallet in our new device because we lost the seed, don't remember it, etc.

If you're afraid to invest in Cryptocurrency, consider yourself not gaining through it. If you truly want to gain something through it, you must tale the risk at times and buy the coins and store it for sometime and see how it is. Withe time the value that went down can still increase higher.

Yeah and that happened for sure when the price of Bitcoin is at 40k im sure there's a lot of people who just bought Bitcoin because everyone is so sure that it will reach 50k soon.. which didn't happened and the price dropped a lot. I hope they didn't panic and dump though

Worst things can happen is when you invest for example in Bitcoin is when you buy right now and the whales starts to dump their holdings it will make the price go a lot lower than the price you bought it for. In some other coins that's fairly new it can even lose all it's value overnight.
