What will happen if bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency?

I am thinking if bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency in the crypto space . What do you think would happen? if it happens in this way, I'm very sure that so many people would love to adopt because it's a good cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin would have become more expensive than this because the highest portion will be owned by riches. It will be scarce to purchase and everybody will need to work more harder to earn even a satoshi.

Well even the person that invented Bitcoin would have brought about another one. There will always be another one so we can't really know.
