What is the total number of cryptocurrencies listed??

I know this question might sound weird, and somehow intricate. But sometimes it is good to acquire knowledge on things you don't know about. I've been following Cryptocurrency for a while now, there seems to be much number of coins listed in some exchange platforms. But their coin listings with other exchange platforms differs. That is why i couldn't get the total accurate number of all tradable crypto coins in the market.

1st crypto currency coin invented in 2008 and came itno crypto work in 2009. After that Crypto currency era has started. In 2019 there were about 2000 crypto currencies at the end of 2019. Now in 13, 14 months more 2000 currencies came into this world and now about 4000 crypto currencies coins.

Well one can't have the total number of cryptocurrencies that are listed on exchange because several exchanges I have different cryptocurrencies that they list. one exchange may list some cryptocurrency that are not in another exchange so getting the total amount of exchanges that are currently listed will be an herculean task.

Currently now there are so many of them listed on the cyrtpo market. One can't be sure because the moment you sleep and wake up you could see another. The best way to track them is through websites that provide information on crypto like coinmarketcap.

Sincerely I don't really know the total number of coin listed on Difference crypto currency exchange platform because a lot of coin are now outside. These PLATFORMs do not even list all these coins for reasons best known to them and I think it will be best to count from different PLATFORMs like Luno, binance and Blockchoin

The last time I checked blockfolio app for the total number of cryptocurrency, I saw 10,000 and I am sure other coins have emerged as well, so I cannot say precisely that this is the number for cryptocurrency but those I know personally are not more than 10

Hmm, the number you quoted looks by far more than what i saw via coinmarketcap website. The number i saw on coinmarketcap is 5,700 coins that is tradable on some top exchange platforms. I know the number is greater now cos many coins emerge everyday at coin market.

I recently was introduced to BlockFolio app by a friend of mine as the apocthat can be used to monitor and keep tabs on one's total portfolio, when I tried to search the coin I wanted to add... I saw 'search over 10,000 coins', I was surprised to see that there are over 10,000 coins out there
