Cryptocurrency is a digital means of exchange, it is not regulated by any government body like every other currency, while forex as the name goes means foreign exchange, in forex you buy and sell different currencies and you make profit or loss depending on your prediction of the market.
 
For forex trading I dont know much about it because of its high risk level while cryptocurrency is where different coins are been used for trading, that is buying of coins when they are not high and wait for its appreciation. The good thing about cryptocurrency is that its risk level is low

Both of them are really different. Cryptocurrency trading is the act of speculating on cryptocurrency price movements via a CFD trading account, or buying and selling the underlying coins via an exchange. While forex which is an acronym for foreign exchange market is a global decentralized or over-the-counter market for the trading of currencies. This market determines (foreign exchange market) rates for every currency. It includes all aspects of buying, selling and exchanging currencies.
