Well, these days backlinks that are driven by the attractiveness of your site's content would be the best. These backlinks would be less spammy. In other words, they aren't coming from some scheme to get undeserved backlinks.

If your site has 40 Domain Authority and if the backlinks come from the same niche site that has 60 Domain Authority, the backlink will be even better. Backlinks should always come from better sites.
