The term market cap refers to market capitalisation of a company or a coin. I think that the market cap refers to supply of coin multiplied by the price of the coin. However, what is fully diluted market capitalisation of a coin? Why is it important and how can it affect the price of the coin?

A diluted market capitalisation is produced when you multiply the number of all coins that could exist with the price of each coin. What this does help with is to tell you what the future hold for any particular coin. This information is what most likely helps investors map out a coin with good potential to invest in for a long term project.
