It would be lovely if it was to be an official currency but I dont think it can become a global currency due to some disadvantages. First government never allowed you to use it because we're not paying taxes if it become the global currency people stop using the fiat and move tothe crypto which hides all transactions and keep us anonmoyus.

It will be a good development if bitcoin is accepted as a global currency but it might a difficult thing to come to reality because the economy of countries is different and using the same currency will be a cheat to some countries.

The top countries won't even let that happen as it would threaten their supremacy and this makes it clear that they won't even allow such innovation work out.

Tho currently, bitcoin is well known all over the world and its being used. Even some organizations and companies now make use of bitcoin for payment. But i dont really think most government would be willing to let go of their flat currency to make use of bitcoin

Don't let us deceive our selves. Bitcoin can never be global currency that all countries will accept and use it as a global currency.
We all know that sooner or later bitcoin will be accepted globally by all countries but it can not be global currency

That's true. Even the US dollars has not been adopted as a global Currency not to talk about a crypto currency that is volatile in nature.

What country will adopt bitcoin as there main currency. Like I read on someone else's post. He said the reason behind the countries banning crypto currency is that they are afraid that crypto currency might take over there own currency. And I don't think that can happen.

Bitcoin will definitely become a global currency in the nearest future but people really need to know that this currency can never lay off Fiat currency off the market. It can just rival the currency to make it more better and stable the economy. But I still think it will be accepted all over the world.
I doubt if this will happen as most countries will want to protect the interest of their currency to avoid losing value. Bitcoin is volatile in nature the price can rise tremendously and also fall which will make it not to be acceptable as by many countries.

Seriously, it is usually ignorance that makes government officials fear that crypto currencies could make their local currency useless. The two interdepend on each other.

No doubt about that because sooner or later that's what would happen with the way things are going now and crypto gaining more and more popularity so that could definitely be the case

I think it's a long long shot especially seeing as some countries do not approve of it but slowly I think bitcoin can get there.
I think most countries have not accepted it because their leaders are yet to understand how crypto currencies work, so they wouldn't want to involve.

I think bitcoin is already a global currency, it is accepted in numerous countries, it is easy for cross boarder transaction and it stops the meddling of intermediary system like banks.

Also, I think the anonymity of cryptocurrencies is what is scaring most of this government fact that they can't track the movement of some of these cryptos.

True, but if the most developed countries don't fear anything , then I don't think other countries should be afraid of anything, even the anonymity that's being used as excuse.

You are very correct, the anonymity of bitcoin makes the government not to totally approved it for the payments of goods and services. The government also believes that it can be used to for fraud.

Cryptocurency cannot be a global curency, because it is decentralise and this is what most countries has been avoiding. They would not want to loose the control of the control andregulation of their local currency, that would be the hitch.

Actually, in developed countries, crypto is widely used for fraud but because in developed countries they have sophisticated investigation departments to keep track and carry out comprehensive investigations. Developing countries don't have that.

If Bitcoin could become the global currency that we all would be spending legally to purchase anything both online and offline,i guess it would be the best currency so far so good tho.
