Because Elon Musk saw potential back then in the coin, so he accepted it and invested on it as a payment method, till recently, so he's not using it anymore

I believe we need more companies like Tesla to engage in cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. I hope other big company will follow the move of Tesla. The price of Bitcoin and dogecoin suddenly went up because of this purchase transaction.

What do you mean Musk is not using the Bitcoin anymore, did he sell it or he just stored it in his holdings for his savings? I wonder how someone can sell that huge amount of Bitcoin that has no tangible value like the gold or the stocks. When there are no more buyers then Musk would be left with his useless Bitcoin.
 
I don't know the actual reason why the purchase the bitcoins but I believe they were just trying to make sure that people can pay for the Tesla car with cryptocurrency, this has increased the price of all crypto.
